With sausage, mushrooms, ground beef, and noodles, this is one loaded meat pizza. Submitted by Elana Stamm
1/2 onion, diced
1 cube frozen garlic
1 pound ground beef
8 ounces of Rotini
beef broth (or 2 cups of water with 1 tablespoon onion soup mix)
15 ounce can tomato sauce
3 tablespoons ketchup
3 tablespoons brown sugar
2 pounds frozen pizza dough, defrosted
2 Jacks Italian Sausage, sliced
16 ounce can mushrooms
Start by making a one-pot wonder sloppy Joe and Noodle recipe. In medium-large pot, sauté onion till translucent. Add garlic and mix with wooden spoon. Then add beef and break up until mostly brown.
Add noodles and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, and then simmer and cover until pasta has absorbed most of the liquid. You now have a yummy dinner in itself that has a Chanukah oily feel to it without frying!
Make the pizza dough into two circle pies on parchment paper. Place on two aluminum cookie trays or pizza trays and put in preheated oven for 10 minutes on 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place sausage circles on baked dough and then top with mushrooms and Beef-a-Roni dish.
Lower oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for another 10 minutes.
Slice into pizza slices and drizzle with your favorite toppings! Caesar dressing, techina or chicken popper or BBQ sauce shown here.
