Yields 1 loaf
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and whisk together.
Add beer and mix until fully incorporated.
Use your hands or a mixing spoon to form a ball of dough.
Place dough into a greased loaf pan, and pour the oil or melted butter over the dough.
Bake for one hour. Remove from pan and cool.
Variations:
Add olives or herbs for variations to this bread. If preferred, shape as buns, or bake in ramekins.
