dark chocolate or milk chocolate (6 halves require 200 grams/7 ounces of chocolate — 2 bars)
silicon rounds
marshmallows
chocolate coins
hot cocoa powder
optional: dreidel, gold edible confetti or pearls
Melt chocolate and coat the silicon tray.
Place in freezer for 10 minutes. You may need to repeat this step if the chocolate balls don’t come out of the mold easily.
Place cocoa powder, marshmallows, coins and anything else you want to include inside one chocolate ball half. Turn on flame over pan and place second chocolate ball half inside until it melts slightly (roughly two seconds). Place on top of other chocolate ball to stick together. Freeze until ready to serve.
Put boiling water into glass/mug. Drop chocolate ball in and watch everyone’s faces of delight! Here’s to an explosive Chanukah of lights and joy!
