Diets What could be more of a traditonal Jewish food than lukshen noodle kugel? Try this recipe for sweet milchig noodle kugel made with noodles, cottage cheese and sour cream and topped with cornflake crumbs, sugar and cinnamon for a delighful crunch.
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 pint sour cream
12 ounces medium egg noodles, cooked and drained
1 pound farmer cheese
1 cup Gefen Cornflake Crumbs
sugar and cinnamon
Combine eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar, milk, and sour cream.
Add noodles and farmer cheese. Mix well.
Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle with cornflake crumbs and/or sugar and cinnamon.
Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
