Diets This cherry sauce is quite easy to prepare, and adds a wonderful refreshing fruity sauce to a sweet treat. Make sure you stir the sauce while it simmers so that it doesn’t burn. Serve either warm or cold, either way is delicious!
2 cups pitted cherries
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup Gefen Light Corn Syrup
2 tablespoons Gefen Cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons cold water
2 tablespoons HeavenĀ & Earth Lemon Juice or 4 tablespoons brandy
Combine cherries, sugar, water and corn syrup in saucepan. Add cornstarch to cherry mixture.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in lemon juice.
Serve warm or chilled over ice cream.
