4 and 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup all purpose flour, such as Glicks
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
2/3 cups butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup Gefen Honey
1/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 and 1/2 – 2 cups miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
1 cup orange-flavored dried cranberries (optional)
1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds (optional)
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (170 degrees Celsius). Lightly grease one 9- x 13-inch pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, flour, baking soda, vanilla, butter or margarine, honey, and brown sugar
Stir in the chocolate chips or the optional ingredients.
Firmly press this mixture into the prepared pan. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
Remove from the oven, let cool for 10 minutes, and then cut into bars.
