1/2 cup oil
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup milk/soy milk
1 and 1/2 cups flour
Royal icing (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Grease two nine by 13 jelly roll pans.
Combine oil, sugar, and water in a stand mixer at medium speed for 30 seconds.
Add in the vanilla, baking soda, cocoa powder, and milk and mix until incorporated.
Mix in the flour.
Pour into the prepared pans and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Once the cake has cooled use cookie cutters to cut out desired shapes.
If desired, decorate with royal icing.
