Chocolate-Coffee Crunch Cookies

  • 1/4 cup Gefen Cocoa Powder

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 16 coffee candies, crushed

Directions

Prepare the Cookies

1.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Melt two cups chocolate chips. Set aside two-thirds cup melted chocolate for drizzling. 

3.

Beat margarine, sugar, and extracts in a large mixing bowl. Add eggs and chocolate; beat until combined. Add dry ingredients besides for candy; mix just until combined. 

4.

Stir in remaining chips and form into 1-inch (2.5-cm) balls. Place on a prepared baking sheet, spacing one and a half inches apart. 

5.

Bake 10 minutes and cool on rack. Rewarm reserved chocolate and drizzle over cookies. Sprinkle with crushed candy. Chill to set.

Yields: 2 and 1/2 dozen cookies

coffee candies? what are coffee candies? any with a heimishe hechsher?

Like a sucking candy..? I bet you can find with a heimish hechsher.
