Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add all ingredients, except cherries, mixing well.
Shape dough into one-inch balls. Place onto baking sheet.
Drain cherries and reserve juice. Place 1 cherry in center of each cookie.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes.
In small saucepan, melt chocolate and margarine.
Add cherry juice. Spread 1 teaspoon frosting over each cookie, covering cherry. (Frosting may be thinned by adding more juice.)
