This is a takeoff of a drink commonly served in Israel. I had to make an updated version for my hot chocolate cravings here in America. It doesn’t disappoint.
3 cups whole milk
1/4 teaspoon Gefen Cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons instant coffee granules
1/4 cup sugar (optional)
4 squares milk chocolate (from a 3-and-1/2-ounce bar, such as Geneve)
Place all ingredients besides chocolate squares in a pot. Bring just to a slight boil. Remove from fire.
Place two chocolate squares each in two mugs. Pour hot chocolate into mugs over chocolate squares and mix. Serve immediately.
