1. Cook pasta according to package instructions.
2. Reserve a third of a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
3. Melt the butter in a large pan over medium heat.
4. Add the garlic and saute for a minute. Add the heavy cream, pasta water, salt, and pepper and bring to a low boil. Simmer the sauce for five minutes and add in the pasta.
5. Top with the parmesan cheese and mix well.
