Follow the directions below to prepare delicious and soft flanken or club steaks for Pesach using limited processed ingredients. Their sweetness comes from the onions, which are roasted in the pan first, before the meat is added.

Ingredients

Club Steak

  • 1/3 cup red cooking wine, such as Tuscanini

  • salt, to taste

  • pepper, to taste

Flanken or Ribs

  • 1 cup white cooking wine, such as Tuscanini

  • salt, to taste

  • pepper, to taste

Directions

Prepare the Pesach Club Steak or Flanken

1.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

Slice onion and place in pan with a quarter cup oil. Bake covered for 30 minutes.

3.

Rub salt and pepper on meat. Add meat to pan with rest of ingredients.

4.

Bake two and a half to three hours or until soft.

Notes:

If using the Tuscanini cooking wine, you might be able to omit the salt. Taste before adding more.
