12 ounces margarine
1 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
6 egg yolks
2 teaspoons Gefen Vanilla Extract
4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon Haddar Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chocolate bits, such as Gefen Mini Chocolate Chips
1 cup coconut
1 and 1/2 cup chopped nuts
6 egg whites
2 cups brown sugar
Mix ingredients for dough until smooth. Roll out and place into the prepared pan.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a nine- x 13-inch pan.
Combine ingredients for nut mixture. Spread and slightly press onto dough.
Beat egg whites and brown sugar until stiff. Spread over the nut mixture.
Bake for 40 minutes.
While cake is still hot, mark one-and-a-half- by one-inch rectangles. Cool and cut into bars.
