Conveyor Belt Puff Pastry Shabbat Goodies

My default Shabbos prep is super easy and simple while still being delicious, plentiful, and yummy. Something I can do every single week easily. I built my Shabbos prep around one question: How quickly can I get out of the kitchen?

I make these desserts and sides in this order so I don’t have to wash my cutting board or rolling pin between recipes: cinnamon-sugar, chocolate, potato, deli, meat, franks in blankets. I use the same beaten egg to brush the tops of everything.

Directions

Prepare the Cinnamon-Sugar Twists

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).

  2. Lightly flour your workspace and the top of each dough, then roll it until it’s the size of a baking sheet. Cut each dough in half.

  3. To prepare the cinnamon-sugar twists, mix all ingredients and spread it over one dough. Cut into one-inch (two-and-a-half-centimeter) strips and twist.

  4. Bake for 15–20 minutes.

Prepare the Chocolate Twists

  1. Spread the chocolate spread over one dough. Cut into one-inch (two-and-a-half-centimeter) strips and twist. Bake for 15–20 minutes.

Prepare the Potato Roll

  1. Mash the potatoes with the remaining ingredients. Spread the mixture over one dough, leaving a one-inch (two-and-a-half-centimeter) border.

  2. Roll up the dough and cut diagonal slits across the top. Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with seeds if desired, and bake for 30–35 minutes.

Prepare the Honey-Mustard Deli Roll

  1. Mix the honey and mustard and spread it over one dough.

  2. Layer the deli in overlapping rows and sprinkle with fried onions.

  3. Roll up the dough and cut diagonal slits across the top.

  4. Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with seeds if desired, and bake for 30–35 minutes.

Prepare the Meat Roll

  1. Cook the ground beef. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Cool slightly. Spread the mixture over one dough, leaving a one-inch (two-and-a-half-centimeter) border.

  2. Roll up the dough and cut diagonal slits across the top. Brush with egg wash, sprinkle with seeds if desired, and bake for 30–35 minutes. These can be made into pinwheels as well.

Prepare the Franks in Blankets

  1. Cut the last dough into strips that are three-inch (seven-and-a-half-centimeter) long and one-inch (two-and-a-half-centimeter) wide. Cut each hot dog into three.

  2. Wrap each hot dog piece with a strip of dough. Brush with egg wash and bake for 18–22 minutes.

Notes:
For the franks in blankets, you can use mini hot dogs and precut puff pastry squares and just cut each square in half.
