Directions

1.

Defrost whipped topping and puff pastry.

2.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lay out puff pastry dough but do not roll it out. Cut into evenly sized rectangles. (Each napoleon will be one person’s serving.)

Space out the dough on the baking sheet. Bake the puff pastry until it’s golden brown and puffs up (Get it? That’s why it’s called PUFF pastry!).

5.

While it is baking, put the whipped topping in your mixer and mix at high speed until peaks are formed.

6.

Slice fresh strawberries.

Once the puff pastry has cooled off, slice each piece through the middle. Fill with the whipped topping, place strawberries on top of the cream, and replace the top.

Melt chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds to one minute. Use a spoon to drizzle the melted chocolate on top of the napoleons.

Notes:

Napoleons are best when assembled right before the meal. In this video, Yossi cut the napoleons, drizzled the chocolate, and then only filled the rest with strawberries and whipped topping right before dessert on Shabbat.
