A parve version of eggnog, which is traditionally made with an egg and milk base. This cold, creamy alcoholic beverage has a really rich flavor that is sure to delight.
1 and 3/4 cups sugar
1 and 3/4 cups water
yolks of 4 (pasteurized) eggs
4 tablespoons Gefen Vanilla Sugar
1 and 1/4 cups alcohol 95 proof
Bring water and sugar to a boil. Cook until sugar is thoroughly dissolved and liquefied. Cool.
Beat yolks and vanilla sugar well, approximately five to seven minutes.
Mix syrup and yolks until well blended. Add alcohol and mix. This recipe does not require refrigeration and will keep fresh indefinitely.
