1 and 3/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Gefen Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup oil
1 cup boiling water
3/4 cup date spread
1 tablespoon Manischewitz Honey
blanched almonds
Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and baking powder, and then add the sugar, eggs, and oil.
Combine the date spread and boiling water. Add to the batter. Mix well and pour into a baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 degrees Celsius) for 30 minutes or until a tester comes out dry.
If desired, dissolve one tablespoon honey in one tablespoon water and sprinkle over cooled cake. Decorate with blanched almond pieces.
