Ingredients

Dubai Chocolate Bark

  • 1 package cinnamon or regular graham crackers (if you want it a little sweeter, use the cinnamon like we did. If you are using milk chocolate, you can totally go with regular)

  • about 16 ounces dark or milk chocolate, divided (or 1 and 1/2 bags chocolate chips)

  • 3 tablespoons Haddar Peanut Butter

  • 8 ounces kataifi (1/2 a box), broken up

  • 1/2 stick margarine or butter

  • different flavor/color chocolate chips. We used 1/2 a bag of white chocolate chips, 1/2 a bag of butterscotch chocolate chips, and 1/2 a bag of semisweet chocolate chips

Directions

1.

Lay graham crackers down on a lined baking sheet in a single layer, with the ends touching (you can actually do this without graham crackers and just use chocolate and it will also be delicious).

2.

Melt chocolate in a microwave or double boiler and smear on top of the graham crackers.

3.

Melt margarine in a skillet. Add the kataifi and toast on low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes or until fully golden.

4.

Add in the peanut butter and stir till combined. Remove from heat. Pour the kataifi on top of the chocolate and spread so it fully covers it.

5.

Melt whatever other chocolate chips you’d like and drizzle over the entire bark. (See our super easy tip for meting chocolate below.)

6.

Let it harden (you can put in fridge or freezer) and enjoy!

Tips:

We put the entire bag of chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time and then pat it out so it’s fully melted. Then cut a tiny hole on one end and drizzle over the bark.

Notes:

We wanted this dessert to be pareve so we can serve it at a Shabbos meal, but if you prefer dairy, go with butter and milk chocolate!

More clarification about kataifi. Where would I find it in the grocery store? Is it sold frozen? Is it a specialty item only sold with international foods? Please explain more.
