Easy-to-prepare, gooey, and delicious double-chocolate brownies. For a cocoa-only variation, try this simple brownie recipe by Estee Kafra.
1/3 cup margarine or oil
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
10 ouncesĀ Glicks Chocolate Chips, divided
1 teaspoon Gefen Vanilla Extract
2 eggs
3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
In a two-quart saucepan, melt margarine, sugar, and water. Bring just to a boil and add one cup of chocolate chips (reserve remaining chocolate chips) and vanilla.
Stir quickly until smooth and remove from heat. Add two eggs, quickly blending into the mixture in the pot. Add dry ingredients.
Stir in the rest of the chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if desired.
Pour into greased nine-inch square pan and bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 35 minutes.
