Muddy Buddies meets Rice Krispie treats and peanut chews. Any way you look at it, a new star is born.

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 cups cereal (such as Golden Grahams, Crispix, or Chex)

  • 6 cups store-bought caramel-coated popcorn

  • 1 and 1/2 cups parve Glicks Chocolate Chips or chunks, divided

  • 4 tablespoons margarine (use soy-free, if needed) or butter

Directions

Make the Balls

1.

In a large bowl, combine cereal, caramel popcorn, and one cup chocolate chips or chunks.

2.

Combine margarine and Marshmallow Fluff in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for one minute. Stir mixture until completely smooth. Add the peanut butter and stir well. Pour over the dry ingredients and stir well until completely coated.

3.

Form the mixture into three-inch (seven- and- a- half-centimeter) balls, pressing firmly to ensure that the balls don’t fall apart. Place on a Gefen Parchment-lined baking sheet.

4.

Melt remaining half cup chocolate chips and drizzle over the popcorn balls.

Notes:

For a great presentation, put each ball in a paper cupcake holder.

Personally, I find that crunchy treats that get frozen, especially with cereal, like krispy treats, get soggy and stale tasting when frozen.
