Simple, sweet, and scrumptious.
Place diced onion in a wide pot with some oil. Place chicken over onion, skin side down. Simmer for about 15 minutes covered.
Add jam and wine, and continue cooking for an additional hour.
To serve, pour sauce over chicken pieces.
Notes:
Add water if needed while chicken is cooking.
Variations:
You can also use different flavored jams, like apricot.
