I think the one thing Fall 2020 really needs is a good milkshake. This drink is something unexpected, delicious, and comforting. Chai is one of my favorite things ever, and this Ginger and Turmeric blend is so fragrant and rich. I couldn’t wait to play around with it. Just a few simple ingredients and you can have your own frothy, chilled cup of artisan Chai. My kids even loved it because it is sweet and creamy, plus the spices are not overpowering.
2 ounces boiling water
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/8 teaspoon Gefen Ground Cinnamon
whipped cream (optional)
Pour the boiling water over the tea bags. Allow to steep for five minutes, then remove the tea bags. This creates a very strong tea essence.
In a blender, add vanilla ice cream, cinnamon and the tea essence. Blend until smooth.
Serve immediately in a chilled glass. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
