Yussi sets out this dish on Friday afternoons for guests. This is salami the guys go wild for.
For more great cooking, watch Baruch Hashem It’s Shabbos!
1 large salami
1/4 jar Gefen Duck Sauce (about 1/2 cup)
2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons Gefen Maple Syrup
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon Gefen Crushed Red Pepper
pinch of smoked sea salt
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
Slice the salami into thin sections, making sure not to cut all the way through. (In our video, we divided the salami in two and made one hasselback and one fully sliced.) Transfer salami to a baking dish.
Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
With a gloved hand, smear the sauce generously over and into the slits of the salami.
Bake uncovered for 25 to 35 minutes.
Serve warm.
