Diets This decadent and delicious hot chocolate is packed with protein and healthy fats and makes the perfect treat for a cold and snowy evening. Some people even find that having a healthy fat before going to bed helps them sleep longer and sounder. Healthy fats also promote healthy brain development in children and keep you feeling fuller longer. Send the kids off to school with some and feel at ease knowing they had a breakfast that will keep them satisfied for hours. Yield: 2 10-ounce cups
2 cups Gefen Almond or oat milk
3 tablespoons 100 percent cacao nibs
2 tablespoons Gefen Maple Syrup
3 tablespoons hemp seeds (see note)
In a high-powered blender or food processor, blend all ingredients until everything is combined and chocolate and hemp are finely chopped.
Transfer to a microwave-safe bowl or pot and heat in a microwave or on the stove until chocolate is melted and mixture has reached the desired temperature.
Pour mixture back into the blender or food processor for another quick mix.
Pour into cups and enjoy!
