Ingredients

Herbed Rice with Fruit

  • 1 cup white rice, such as Pereg

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon parsley

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • 2 cups water

  • 1/4 cup fresh cleaned dill, stems removed and chopped

  • 1/4 cup pomegranate seeds

  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios

  • 4 Beleaves Dates, pitted, inspected for insects, and cubed

  • 1 tablespoon Gefen Lemon Juice

Directions

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

In a small pan, place rice, spices, oil, and water. Mix and cover.

3.

Bake for one hour until all the water is absorbed.

4.

Fluff with a fork.

5.

Let it cool for five minutes before stirring in the dill, pomegranate seeds, pistachios, dates, and lemon juice.
