I never liked apple cider growing up because I only ever tasted the instant powdered kind. This was delicious, and even better, it made the house smell incredible!
Yields: Approximately 4 cups
5 apples, cored and quartered
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/8 cup Tuscanini Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon pumpkin spice (or Gefen Cinnamon)
6 cups water
1 tablespoon caramel syrup/sauce
whipped cream
Place the apples in a big pot. Add in the brown sugar, lemon juice, and pumpkin spice. Pour over the water and bring to a boil. Cook on low for an hour and 45 minutes.
Mash the apples with a potato masher and simmer for 10 more minutes.
Strain it through a container.
Mix in the caramel and serve with whipped cream and caramel drizzle.
