Diets This is a fun Sunday morning treat. Kids love the small pieces. They are great to freeze and microwave for a quick breakfast.
4 challah slices
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon sugar
oil, for frying
Mix eggs, milk, cinnamon and sugar.
Cut challah into one-inch strips. Dip strips into egg mixture until lightly coated but not soaking.
Prepare frying pan with canola oil. Place one drop of egg mixture in center of pan. When it starts to bubble, the pan is ready for the toast. Place strips into heated pan, let brown and turn over and repeat on other sides. Make sure to turn down heat as oil gets hot quickly and sticks will easily burn.
Serve with honey, syrup, jam or dusting of icing sugar. A fun meal for kids!
