Homemade Fruit Chips

I love the idea of making something that’s normally bought in a snack bag. After trying this, you’ll see it’s easier than you thought!

Ingredients

Homemade Fruit Chips

  • 4 Royal Gala apples

  • 2 brown pears

  • 6 tablespoons sugar

Directions

1.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Core and slice apples into 1/8-inch-thick rings.

Trim the stems and bottoms off the pears and slice lengthwise into 1/8-inch-thick slices. Remove the seeds.

4.

Place fruit slices in a single layered on a lined baking sheet.

In a small bowl, combine sugars and cinnamon. Sprinkle half the mixture over the fruit slices. Bake for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, flip, and sprinkle with remaining mixture. Return to oven for another 20–30 minutes or until dried out. Chips will harden after cooling.

Notes:

The bake time for chips depends on the thickness. Slice the fruits evenly to prevent uneven baking.
