Diets This week on Sweet Sisters Shabbat Treats we are making a super easy version of Krembo in honor of our love for Israel. We actually were lucky enough to visit Israel this past Sukkot right before the war broke out. It was an amazing trip we will remember forever. We love finding little ways to connect to Israel to keep it fresh in our minds always. We decided to try making a shortcut version of the famous Israeli snack called Krembo.
1 (18-ounce) package of vanilla sandwich cookies (You also can use chocolate if you’d like!)
1 container marshmallow fluff
1 package Glicks Chocolate Chips
Open all the sandwich cookies and take out the cream.
Put the marshmallow fluff in the microwave for 10 to 20 seconds (leave the cover on!).
Remove from microwave and use a spatula to get all the fluff into a piping or ziplock bag.
Line up all your cookies on a baking sheet. Cut a tiny hole at the bottom of your ziplock bag. Squeeze the ziplock to pipe a swirl of fluff onto each cookie. Keep going until you are done with all the cookies.
Put it in the freezer to harden for an hour or so.
Melt the chocolate chips in a glass cup or narrow bowl in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time. Take the cookies out of the freezer. Dip each cookie into the melted chocolate and put it back on the baking sheet. If you want to get fancy, you can top the chocolate with sprinkles.
Return to freezer to harden the chocolate. Serve frozen.
