Ingredients

Lemon-Infused Salmon

  • 2 large onions, sliced

  • 1 to 1 and 1/4 cups sugar, divided

  • juice of 2 lemons (about 1/2 cup), plus 1 lemon for garnish

  • Gefen Salt, to taste

Wine Pairing

Directions

1.

In a large pot, sauté onions with 1/4 cup sugar until golden.

2.

Add four to five cups water, lemon juice, salt, pepper and remaining 3/4  cup to one cup sugar (as per desired sweetness level). Mix and bring to a boil. Add salmon, cover, and cook for one hour.

3.

Serve with a slice of fresh lemon.
