Start Cooking

Prepare the Carrots

  1. Cook carrots in a pot in a small amount of boiling water for four minutes or until crisp-tender. Drain and return carrots to pot.

  2. Add water and sugar. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, for nine minutes or until liquid evaporates and carrots are tender. 

  3. Stir in lime juice, margarine or oil, and salt.
