I rarely buy take-out food for Shabbos. I love the feeling of feeding my family freshly cooked wholesome food that I made myself. There is one exception. My husband loves chopped liver from a certain food establishment here in town. Determined to keep my meals home-cooked and healthy, I decided to try to recreate my own version of the liver he loves. It’s been a while since we’ve bought that liver and now we share this recipe with others and receive rave reviews.
2 large onions-sliced
1 T oil (for sautéing )
5 oz chicken liver- diced
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt or to taste
1 hard boiled egg
Sauté onions until translucent.
Add sugar, salt, and diced liver.
Cover the pan and cook on a low flame for about ten minutes.
Add the hard boiled egg and blend with an immersion blender.
To create the liver bites, transfer the liver to a ziplock bag and cut a slit in the corner. Pipe onto your favorite cracker.

Organ meat is NOT kosher!! I love your recipes because they follow the Law than you put this out? What the hell?!
it is kosher it just needs to be koshered in a special way, and please use nicer words next time
Like I mentioned in my comment about the chopped liver recipe liver can be Kashered. It’s usually done by broiling the liver within 3 days after Shechita. I would also like to request of everyone that only positive & refined language be used in commenting on the recipes, even critiques please. Thank you.
