this hamantash recipe is perfect for using in a build-your-own ice cream hamantash sundae bar.
1 and 1/2 cups softened butter or margarine
1 and 1/2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 large egg plus 1 large yolk
3 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 and 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
1 and 1/4 teaspoons salt
rainbow sprinkles
cinnamon sugar
sandwich cookie crumbs
Cream together butter or margarine and sugar until smooth.
Beat in vanilla, egg, and egg yolk.
Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt.
Mix until combined. Mixture will be crumbly.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Take around 1/4 cup of the crumbly mixture at a time and squish it together to form one ball. Pat into 1/2-inch-thick and shape into a triangle. Repeat with remaining dough. Place one inch apart on a parchment-lined cookie sheets.
To use Smoosh Ins, sprinkle your work surface with either sprinkles, cinnamon sugar, or cookie crumbs. Pat your dough into the smoosh ins, then press more on top.
Bake at 350 for 15–20 minutes.
Enjoy as is, or let cool completely before serving with your choice of ice cream and toppings!
