Marinated Beets

  • 6 tablespoons sugar

Directions

Prepare the Marinated Beets

1.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.

Wrap beets in aluminum foil and cook for one hour. Let cool.

3.

When beets are cool enough to handle, peel and cut into eighths.

4.

Combine beets with lemon juice and sugar. Refrigerate in an airtight container until ready to serve.

Tips:

For extra lemon flavor, sprinkle lemon zest over the beets after combining with lemon juice and sugar (zest lemons before juicing them).
