Your answer to your craving for a delicious low-carb, high fiber side dish has finally arrived!

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 bags of frozen artichoke bottoms

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 4 cloves of crushed garlic

  • 1 tablespoon of hawaij blend

  • 1 tablespoon of turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon of kosher salt

  • 1/2 a teaspoon of ground black pepper

  • 2 squirts of lemon juice

  • 1/2 a cup of water

Directions

Prepare the Artichokes

1.

First, defrost artichokes for a 1/2 hour.

Next, slice smaller ones in half and larger ones in thirds.

3.

Then heat the olive oil and add garlic and spices.

4.

Now add artichokes and sauté for 5 min, keep mixing.

After this, add a half a cup of water and two squirts of lemon juice.

6.

Cover and simmer for a 1/2 hr to 45 minutes.

7.

Finally, enjoy your lovely amazing Mediterranean Artichokes. A true staple for any Shabbat Table!

Notes:

If you cook it too long they can get mushy!
