Prepare the Mezonot Onion Flat Breads

  1. Sprinkle sugar on yeast and set aside.

  2. Place remaining ingredients into a bowl and knead. Add yeast and continue to knead until dough is smooth.

  3. Divide dough into three parts.

  4. Roll each dough to a quarter-inch thickness.

  5. Spread onions over dough and cut into three- by five-inch rectangles.

  6. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes or until top is golden and crust forms. Sprinkle salt and oregano while hot.
