The perfect Chanukah treat for kids — mini chocolate-cheese latkes. So easy to make and gluten free too!

 

Makes 20 small latkes

Ingredients

Latkes

  • 1 cup (250 grams) ricotta cheese OR quark cheese

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • pinch of salt

  • 5 tablespoons cornstarch

  • 3 and 1/2 ounces (100 grams) Elite Milk Chocolate, chopped into small pieces (or bittersweet or white chocolate)

Chocolate Sauce

Garnish

  • Confectioners’ sugar

Directions

Prepare the Latkes

1.

In a bowl, mix together cheese, sugar, egg, vanilla, salt, and cornstarch until smooth. Mix in chocolate pieces while stirring.

Heat oil in a frying pan. Add batter by the spoonful (keep the latkes small) and fry until golden on both sides.

3.

Remove from pan and drain on paper towels.

Prepare the Chocolate Sauce

1.

Place chocolate in a bowl. Add cream and melt together in microwave or a double boiler until completely melted and smooth.

2.

Serve with latkes.

Notes:

Serve latkes fresh and hot.
