Mock Chopped Liver (Big-Batch)

Sauteed onions provide the flavor in this mock chopped liver, while mashed egg and ground almonds provide the texture. This recipe for the classic Jewish appetizer makes enough to feed a crowd!

Ingredients

Mock Chopped Liver

  • 3 pounds onions (about 9 large), diced

  • oil, for sauteing

  • 15 eggs, hard boiled and mashed

Directions

Prepare the Mock Chopped Liver

1.

Sauté onions in liberal amounts of oil until golden.

2.

Combine onions with all remaining ingredients and mix well.

3.

Adjust salt to taste.
