Diets This savory dairy quiche is just the ticket for a weeknight dinner or an option at your next dairy buffet event.
1 recipe quiche dough
3 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 small onion, minced
4 tablespoons butter
1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 teaspoon Gefen Salt
1 teaspoon Tuscanini Lemon Juice
1/4 cup grated cheese
Prebake quiche dough.
Combine eggs, cream and pepper and set aside. Sauté onions in one tablespoon of butter. Stir in mushrooms, salt and lemon juice. Cover pan and cook over low heat for eight minutes.
Uncover pan and cook over medium heat until liquid evaporates. Gradually stir in eggs. Pour into shell. Sprinkle cheese. Dot with remaining butter.
Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.

I baked it at 375º for 30 min uncovered, but the top came out very dark brown, not as shown in the picture. It should be baked covered to avoid this?
I wouldn’t bake it covered, but some ovens are stronger, maybe next time I’d try baking at 350F
