This is my go-to marinade—I use it at every barbecue, and I have often used it for marinating meat that I’m freezing for a trip. If there’s one prep-for-travel recipe to keep on hand, it’s this one.
3 pounds grilling steaks
1/3 cup Tuscanini Olive Oil
1/3 cup Glicks Soy Sauce (use a wheat-free version for gluten-free)
1 tablespoon Haddar Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Tuscanini Tomato Paste
2 teaspoons dried rosemary
2 teaspoons dried thyme
3 cloves garlic, crushed or 3 cubes Gefen Frozen Garlic
In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, soy sauce, sugar, tomato paste, rosemary, thyme, and garlic.
Place steaks in a plastic zip-top freezer bag. Add marinade and massage it into the meat. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Grill to desired doneness.
