Any recipe with the word “pizza” in it is immediately gonna be one of my kids’ favorites. My 5-year-old son recently discovered gnocchi and he has been asking me to make it on repeat.
So coming up with creative and different ways to make gnocchi an easy and filling meal has been my summer task. Enter “pizza gnocchi.” This is the easiest recipe you will find for gnocchi out there because it’s made with three ingredients and takes about 10 minutes to put together. Your kids will lick their plates clean, so you’re welcome.
1 pound Tuscanini Classic Gnocchi
1/2 cup Tuscanini Tomato or any pasta sauce
1 and 1/2 teaspoons oregano
1/2 cup shredded cheese
Add cheese, oregano and tomato sauce to a pot and let it simmer until cheese is melted and ingredients are combined.
In a separate pot, boil some water and a bit of salt. Add the gnocchi to the boiling water and let it cook until it floats to the top (around five minutes). Drain and add the gnocchi to your kids’ plates. Top with the pizza/cheese sauce. Sprinkle with parsley for optional fanciness.
