Classic Plum Pie

This pretty, old-fashioned Hungarian Plum Pie combines a light, flaky dough with luscious sweet plums. A beautiful way to work more of the season’s bounty onto your table.

Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 4 ounces margarine (use soy-free if needed)

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 teaspoon Gefen Baking Powder

  • pinch of salt

  • 2 eggs

  • 8 Hungarian plums, halved

Directions

Prepare the Plum Pie

1.

Mix first six ingredients well. Pour into a nine-inch pie pan.

2.

Arrange plums, round side up, onto batter.

3.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40–50 minutes.
