Directions

Prepare the Relish

1.

Cut plums in half, remove pits. Place into 4-quart pot, add sugar.

2. Cook over very low heat until juices of plums are released.
3.

Increase heat to medium-low and cook for 30–40 minutes.

4.

Mash or chop coarsely. Serve chilled alongside meat.

Notes:

This relish should taste rather tart; do not add too much sugar.
