This smoothie is filling enough to be a meal replacement. I crafted it when I was on a liquid diet due to a painful dental procedure, so I packed as much protein and nutrients into it that I could and it came out quite delicious!
1 banana, fresh or frozen. Preferably fresh and very ripe
2 cups almond milk, or any type of milk you like
1 handful of almonds
1/4-1/2 cup ice, depending on how slushy you like it
1/4 cup frozen blueberries (can use fresh instead and just add some more ice to make up for it)
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
2 tbs honey
2 packets of stevia or any low cal sweetener
2 tbs peanut butter, or any nut butter of choice
1/4 avocado, for thickening. If you don’t like avocado you can skip this or use 1/2 cup yogurt instead
Throw all the ingredients in the blender, blend thoroughly and enjoy!
Serves 1 as a meal or 2-3 as a snack.
Total Calories: approximately 550
