Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add flour, cornstarch and vanilla, mixing well.
Form into balls the size of a nickel. Place onto baking sheet.
Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Do not overbake!
Roll in confectioners’ sugar while still warm. Optional – Melt baking chocolate and drizzle over cookies.
Variations:
Form dough into ovals. Press down with tines of fork, maintaining the oval shape. Bake at 350°F for 10 – 12 minutes. Dip one end into melted chocolate, and into colored or chocolate sprinkles.
