This sandwich is simple yet gourmet. You can double the pepper relish and serve alongside any of your favorite barbecue dishes.
Yield: 4 sandwiches
1/2 cup Glicks Soy Sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
4-6 sandwich steaks
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, diced
1 cube Gefen Frozen Garlic
1 and 1/2 cups jarred red peppers, chopped
2 tablespoons Tuscanini Cider Vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
pinch of salt
1/4 teaspoon celery salt
Mix soy sauce and brown sugar and pour over steaks.
Grill steaks for four minutes, flipping halfway. Alternatively, you can broil in the oven on high.
Heat oil and sauté onion and garlic until tender, about three to four minutes. Stir in red pepper and saute two more minutes. Combine vinegar and sugar and mix until sugar dissolves. Stir it into pepper mixture along with mustard, salt, and celery salt. Cook until liquid evaporates, about four minutes.
Serve warm or at room temperature along with steak.
