Diets Do you want to serve chopped liver but can’t for whatever reason? This mock chopped liver hack is just for you! Made using sardines instead of liver, this has the bonus of being packed with omega-3 fatty acids, and looks exactly like chopped liver. Garnish with extra fried onions if desired.
1 onion, diced
2 tablespoons Gefen Canola Oil
2 hard boiled eggs
2 cans Sea Castle Sardines, skinless and boneless
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Sauté onion in oil until transparent.
Finely mash eggs and sardines.
Combine all ingredients, mixing very well. Chill.
Serve over bed of lettuce.
