I love the spicy flavor of the pepper in this traditional kugel.
3 eggs
1 heaping teaspoon salt
1/2 heaping teaspoon freshly ground Gefen Black Pepper
1/2 pound Manischewitz Egg Noodles, slightly undercooked
1/4 cup vegan butter, cut into small pieces
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray 9-inch square or round casserole dish with cooking spray.
Beat eggs and mix in salt and pepper. Add noodles and vegan butter, mix until well combined. Pour into prepared casserole dish, bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour.

I’m truly sad to give this 2 of 5 stars, but after using this recipe a handful of times, it just doesn’t come out in a way that is pleasant to eat. The egg settles to the bottom and cooks up like non-scrambled scrambled-eggs. The top gets far too dried out and crispy. Is the dish meant to be covered while baking? I’m still on the search for a savory noodle kugel that delivers…
Add a packet of lipton onion soup mix. It’s delicious.
