This might just become your favorite go-to easy, quick, delicious kugel recipe!
10 ounces Manischewitz Medium Egg Noodles
5 ounces Manischewitz Fine Egg Noodles
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon Gefen Black Pepper
pinch of sugar
6 eggs
1/3 cup oil
Bring a pot of water to boil. Cook medium and fine noodles together until extra mushy (not al dente). Strain and rinse.
In a large mixing bowl, add lokshen with salt, pepper, and sugar and taste. If you like it extra peppery or salty, now is a good time to add.
Whisk the eggs and mix well with noodles.
Heat 1/3 cup oil in a nine-inch frying pan.
Add the pasta mix to pan on medium flame, cover, and let cook for approximately 20 minutes.
With spatula, try to move the kugel around a bit to make sure it is not sticking to pan, and flip on to plate.
Return the kugel to the pan for another 15 minutes, uncovered, so it stays nice and crispy.

Can this be baked in the oven? If yes on what temp?
You can, but it won’t have the same crisp. Try to do it on 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20-40 minutes. Keep an eye on it!
is there a mistake was the amount of salt and pepper in this recipe
No, however if you don’t like things as salty you can reduce the salt and pepper.
I just made this with 2 tea spoons of salt and half cup of oil…. kids loved it
It is a great recipe and entertaining show but there is too little salt in this recipe (even too low on the pepper.) Let’s remember , it is salt and pepper kugel.
i always love yussis recipes however this one didnt quite match his others, the texture was perfect, yet taste has a long way to go, basically tasteless except the black pepper def needs more salt and maybe even some apple sauce or something to balance the flavours
Love and look forward to your shows!
Was there a typo with the salt? It seems very little salt for a salt and pepper lukshen kugel.
Hi there I love all your recipes and even more your shows thanks so much keep them coming
So I am making this recipe for this shabbos but can I just say that recipes that use random amounts of packaged ingredients (ie. 5 and 10 ozs of pasta) leaving over an even more random amount in the bag, are simply annoying.
