Place the onions in a crock pot or pan and place the meat on top.

always a big hit for my family whenever I make it!
Chuck roast Is chuck eye same as chuck roast?
Yes, you can use either one.
oven method If doing this in the oven does it still need 12 hours?
Since its cooking at a low temp – it’ll still need 12 hours but you can check it every few hours until soft.
Can I use a 3.8 lb beef minute roast. I have never cooked this type of meat before. My son bought it when I asked him to get a french roast but they were out of it.
If I can’t use the beef minute roast for this recipe, any suggestions what to do with it?
Thanks in advance – kathi
